Privacy First Photographer in Monmouth County NJ

Are you looking for a newborn photographer in New Jersey but hesitant to hire someone because you don’t want to risk your images ending up online and in the wrong hands?

I recently published a blog post on trust and why you can trust me as your Monmouth County newborn photographer. You can read it here. But to sum it up, I share my extensive experience with newborns, children and life postpartum through my first career as a newborn and postpartum nurse at Monmouth Medical Center as well as my experience as a mother of three, however there is another topic I want to address that I find to be equally as important in this digital age- privacy. I have noticed a shift in the online space since the start of my career. More and more of my clients are opting out of posting their children’s faces on social media. In your intake form when booking a session, I ask if it is okay for me to post your family in my online marketing and the majority of my clients request that I do not.

First and foremost my job is to document your family for you. The only wall or story I believe matters are the walls of your home and the photos in your own family story book. As a photographer, my industry tells me that I need to post every session to stay relevant. I disagree. I believe my most important job is not to get "likes" on Instagram; it’s to provide a safe, respectful environment for your family. While it may be a professional risk being a “privacy first” photographer as it limits the number of images I can share for marketing purposes, it is a risk I am willing to take because at the end of the day, your images are not for me, they are for you. I value your peace of mind. Trust and safety are top priority for me and if that means keeping your photos private and just for you, I will respect your choice and never share them online.
