Anna- In-Home Newborn Photography Session- Wood-Ridge New Jersey

Michelle Mullins

Sweet little Anna was 6 weeks old during her newborn session. She and her parents had to go through a bit of an adjustment period after she was born, so her session got pushed back until she was 6 weeks old. I typically recommend scheduling your newborn photography session within the first 2 weeks of birth, however, mom and baby’s health and level of readiness are of the utmost importance when scheduling your photo session. Because my newborn photo sessions are lifestyle and do not require any posing of baby, baby can be a little older. I have actually created a session type the “Newborn and Storytelling Session” which can be applied to any age group. It’s a super laid back, natural approach that documents you and your family as you are, without the pressure of everything being “perfect” cause we all know that’s not possible.

Take a look at this adorable family in their super charming home in Wood-Ridge New Jersey. BTW I loved how mom strolled in with her coffee in hand and went straight up to her husband and baby. That’s one of my favorite shots of all time because of how naturally it happened.

Emma- In-Home Lifestyle Newborn Session- Essex County, New Jersey

Michelle Mullins

I just love in-home lifestyle newborn and family sessions. You’re in the comfort of your own home and your space own space. You get to document your family in the place you spend a lot of your time. What is more natural than that? I am so happy this family found me. They had moved since their first daughter was born and wanted the same style of photography as they had for their first girl when she was a newborn. I had to travel a little bit to get to this family and hit some traffic in Newark on my way back, but it was absolutely worth it. I even got a cappuccino out of the deal! Miss Emma was a doll and I felt so welcome by the family. Not much beats being in a home that has brand new life. Please enjoy the pictures and show this family some love
