THE MOST
FLEETING MOMENTS

For months, you’ve dreamed about your baby. What they would look like. Who they’ll be. And now that they’re here, you’ve spent hours staring at their little face. You’ve committed every detail to memory, but you know – these moments are limited. Your tiny baby is growing and changing faster than you can imagine.

I’ve been where you are – aching to freeze time.

That’s why I specialize in newborns.

Together, we create family heirlooms that your future generations will be able to enjoy. We will adorn your house with beautiful artwork from your session so that everyday you can revisit this most precious and fleeting time.

Michelle’s work is absolutely beautiful and timeless. She photographed my twins when they were just under 2 weeks old and again when they were 3 months old. She has such great experience working with babies and as a result is so calming and peaceful with them. We cannot wait to come back for our 6, 9, and 12 month milestone photo shoots.” —Heather

What You
Can Expect

Put on some soft music, light a candle, grab a cup of tea, and relax.
I’m here to document your baby at her most precious.

I’ll travel to your home and photograph you and baby in your own space, where you’re most comfortable. Or you can come to me to my studio in Oceanport. Each session lasts between 1.5 – 3 hours – because I recognize that newborns need a lot of care. They sense when something’s different and can be fussy as a result, but I don’t mind at all. Together, we’ll take all the time baby needs to be comfortable, well-fed, and soothed – so your photos show baby at his softest.

I provide a boutique experience with the goal of creating beautiful family heirlooms you and your family can enjoy for generations. We will enrich your home with artwork from your session so that everyday you and your children can be reminded of the love that you share.

Newborn FAQ
-

Where does the newborn session take place?

  • It’s up to you! I can come to your home for an intimate in-home session, you can come to me to my studio in Oceanport New Jersey for a cozy in-studio session, or if you’d prefer to be outdoors, we can go to a park or the beach.

My house is small/messy/not Pinterest worthy.

  • No worries! My focus is on you and your baby. All I need is a space near a window and we will create beautiful portraits you’ll never forget.

Do you include any cute props like baskets or buckets and do you pose baby?

  • I do not provide any props other than a simple moses basket. If you have items you would like to include in the session, I am happy to incorporate them.

  • I do not pose baby. I focus instead on the connection and interactions between you and your baby.

Why don’t you pose baby?

  • The short answer is, I focus on everyday moments and I strive to capture your newborn and family as authentically as possible. If you want to know more about why I do not pose baby click here.

Can siblings be involved?

  • Absolutely! I include any and all family members, including fur babies. My sessions are about so much more than just the baby.

Do you photograph baby alone?

  • Yes, I do photograph baby alone, however I encourage parents to get in a few portraits. The baby is part of your family and I never want you to regret not having images of you with your baby. It’s also wonderful for your child to have these memories of you with them.

When should I book my newborn session?

  • I recommend booking your newborn session in your second or third trimester to ensure I have availability during your birth month.

  • The actual date is chosen after baby is born.

  • To book, all I need is the retainer and a signed contract and your guess date will be put on my calendar. Both of these need to be completed to hold your slot.

How long after birth should I schedule our newborn session?

  • I prefer to photograph baby within the first two weeks of birth, however due to the nature of my sessions, baby can be over two weeks. Click here to learn more about this!

When will I see my images?

  • About 1.5-2 weeks after your newborn photography session, we will meet again, either in person or virtually and review your images together.

Do you offer prints?

  • Yes! Prints are my specialty. I offer heirloom quality albums and custom framed prints. Everything is personalized to your needs.

Do you have a question that I didn’t answer?
