I am absolutely obsessed with documenting my children while they are busy at play. I don’t always manage to haul my camera with me on our hikes and adventures, but lately I have been making it a point to bring it along. These are moments I truly never want to forget and want to reflect back on when my children are grown. I really believe these are the “good ol’ days” happening right now.
We’ve been into frog and tadpole catching this Spring. No matter how many we catch, the level of excitement never wanes. In our forest school especially, the sounds of shrieks and giggles can be heard echoing over the pond and reverberating through the trees anytime a child captures a creature. There is something magic that happens when children are brought into the woods and set free to explore.
Between the light streaming in through the trees, the ripples on the surface of the pond and all the creatures roaming about, there is whimsy and beauty everywhere you look. The woods are our own natural playground and I just love watching my children run, climb and jump like little forest creatures. We always come away with muddy hands, scraped knees, twigs in our hair and smiles on our faces.
It is such a passion of mine to document my children experiencing this magic, that I have extended this offer to my clients.

If you and your children are lovers of nature like me, this is for you. Bring me along on a hike in the woods, into your garden or to the beach and let your children go wild. Set them free to explore; pick flowers, catch frogs, butterflies or crabs, get their boots muddy or rip off their shoes and run around barefoot. No formal posing. I will candidly capture you and your children having the most authentic fun. These are not your typical family portraits, but they will hold just as much, if not more meaning to you as your children grow.
