Have you gone the traditional route of booking a family photography session only to walk away thinking, “I never want to do that again?”
Maybe getting everyone ready felt stressful from the start. Maybe your kids were overwhelmed, emotional or completely uninterested in smiling at the camera. Maybe the photos turned out beautifully but afterward you found yourself thinking you’d rather wait until the kids are older, calmer or more cooperative before trying again.
But what if there was another way?
What if family photos didn’t have to revolve around perfectly coordinated outfits, carefully planned poses or asking your children to sit still and perform?
What if the experience itself was the point?
You want the photos to remember this season of life but you also want to remember your children as they truly are right now. The genuine smiles that spread across their faces when they’re fully immersed in joy. The excitement of spotting the glowing lights of a Ferris wheel for the first time. The thrill of climbing onto a carousel horse. Sticky fingers wrapped around a melting ice cream cone piled high with sprinkles.
And then there are the quieter moments.
Their small hand tucked into yours.
The way their head falls onto your shoulder when they’re sleepy.
How tightly they wrap their little arms around your neck at the end of a long summer evening.
Those are the moments that matter.
Those are the memories worth holding onto.
That’s why I’m so excited to introduce my new Memory Making Series.
These experience-based sessions are designed to capture the genuine joy, connection and fleeting moments that make this season of parenthood so meaningful. Instead of focusing on perfect poses or “well-behaved” children, these sessions are built around real experiences your family already loves: an evening at the boardwalk, a trip for ice cream, a slow walk through the bookstore, a backyard garden adventure or simply spending time together in a place that feels like home.
There’s no pressure to perform.
No expectation for your children to be anything other than themselves.
Just space to connect, play, explore and preserve the beauty of this season exactly as it is.
Let’s meet at Crazies in Rumson and walk to Victory Park or Coney Waffle in Red Bank and walk to Riverside Park.
Let’s grab a tea or coffee at the brand new Aura Coffee in Red Bank and take a walk to Crazy Story Books on Monmouth Street or Driftwood- A Coastal Coffee House in Spring Lake and go next door to Thunder Road Books or walk to Divine Park.
Let’s have a fun evening at the Fair Haven Fireman’s Fair, Navesink Fireman’s Fair, Mansaquan Fireman’s Fair, or the Monmouth County Fair.
Have me in your backyard garden as you tend to your veggies and your kids make a beautiful handpicked boquet.
The opportunities are endless and I cannot wait to see what you come up with.
