On November 28th, I got a text from my best friend Bianca. The text read: "We got mom a dog for Christmas." This was a big deal. Her parents are recent empty nesters after sending off their 4th daughter to college. I think the girls sensed that mom and pop needed someone to fill the empty space in their home.
They were only casually looking at first, but when they found Stanley, they knew they just had to get him. It was so be a surprise. All the girls got together over the week of Thanksgiving and picked up their newest family member. They told mom they were going to the mall...little did she know what they were really up to. When they got home, they placed Stanley in a large box wrapped in Christmas paper on the front doorstep and rang the doorbell. Mom answered. They recorded the whole thing on video and mom's reaction was absolutely priceless; she was in disbelief and overcome with joy. The next day, I got a text that mom wanted some professional shots of her new baby. I eagerly accepted. This is the result.
